Ha. This summer, a friend of mine (who I really enjoy) got over for a visit for a weekend and wound up staying over a week because her car needed A WHOLE NEW ENGINE. So she is super opinionated (one good thing about her), and likes to talk about the high life...you know, opera, swiss chocolate, food made from scratch, etc. She's from Spanaway, but she's really taken to the high life and considers herself a city girl. So while she was here, I tried to get her to watch "Hairspray", which I OWN (I rarely buy a movie), we listened to my ipod and came across some of the "Dreamgirls" soundtrack and then the last straw...I mentioned, the possibility of going to see "Mama Mia" one night at the movie theater. Her response is CLASSIC for her..."Musicals are for people who are too dumb to appreciate Opera." I can hold my own in any debate, but she's not really fun to contend with, so I just sat there thinking about all the obvious references I'd made to musicals while she'd been a guest in my home. I couldn't wait to laugh about it with Chris.
